Jiiva shoots at breakneck speed

Bollywood director Bejoy Nambiar’s multilingual film, ‘David’, is said to be progressing at breakneck speed. And one of the reasons why the tempo went up recently was Tamil actor Jiiva. The actor, who is said to be paired alongside Lara Dutta in the much-hyped film, apparently had only a few free days.

“Jiiva had very few days scheduled for the shoot of David, as he was to travel abroad for the shoot of another Tamil film. So the production team had to go on an overdrive in order to complete his portions before he took off,” says a source close to the development.

The shoot, which took place in Mumbai, is said to have gone on until the wee hours of the morning, for over a week at a stretch. “Jiiva appears only in the Tamil version of David, but he was keen on giving it his best and did not mind the early morning to late night call sheets,” adds the source. Post shooting, the actor went to Switzerland to shoot for song sequences in director Mysskin’s next.

David, which stars Vikram in the lead role for both Tamil and Hindi versions, is expected to complete shoot by September.
