Nanban goes to Telugu

Many top-notch stars have successfully dubbed their Tamil films into Telugu and the dubbed versions too have been a good market amidst Telugu crowd. Now one more name is all set to be added on to this list of heroes, none other than that of ‘Ilayathalapathy’.

The shooting of director Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ is taking place in a flurry. Initially the film was touted to be released as a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu, with Mahesh Babu being roped in to play the role of Vijay in Telugu. But the actor has backed off from this project for reasons he best knows, and now it will be a dubbed version of ‘Nanban’ for the Telugu audience.

Vijay has a huge fan following in Tamil Nadu as well as the neighboring Kerala. Now will Vijay be able to weave his magic spell on the Telugu audience too… needs to be seen. If this film clicks then it will pave way for a host of other films of the actor to follow the suit…
